Construction company O’Hare and McGovern have commenced works at The Quays Shopping Centre in Newry, where the developer, Parker Green, is investing in a £20 million extension to deliver the fifth phase of the Centre. The 100,000 sqft addition will host some of the UK’s most prestigious retail brands, details of which will follow in the coming weeks.

Commenting on the development, Parker Green’s Managing Director,  Dr Gerard O’Hare said, “I am delighted that works have now commenced on Phase 5, immediately creating 200 construction jobs and a further 300 full and part-time positions in retail in the months ahead. This project demonstrates that both The Quays and Newry remain at the premiership level of retail demand and ultimately this major investment will help secure the commercial vitality of Newry City Centre and the greater NEWRY region”.
