The London Chapter of Lambda Alpha International, the Honorary Society for the Advancement of Land Economics has chosen Dr O’Hare to be its 2009 honouree of the International Urban Affairs award. This year there will be two awards in this category – with the other being given to Ms. Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Obama.
The Lambda Alpha gala awards ceremony will take place on 23rd and 24th October 2009, at its Biennial Congress in Chicago, Illnois. The Biennial Congress will be based at the Drake Hotel, where Dr O’Hare has been invited to accept his award.
Dr O’Hare was chosen to win this award on account of his exemplary work on behalf of his fellow citizens of both Ireland and Northern Ireland.
